About the Owner
I’m Heather Lash, a licensed and ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist and a mama of two. My heart is in pediatric speech and language pathology. I fell in love with pediatric language when my son, Caden, smiled his first real smile at me as an infant. Even though I had been a speech-language pathologist for years at that point, that was the moment everything changed in my personal and professional life. That’s because that experience helped me understand that communicating with our children is about building meaningful connections that are the foundation of positive life-long relationships. I built Expanse to share the knowledge and tools I’ve gained with other families, so they too can build more connected relationships by expanding speech and language skills.
